Kid-sized · Built for all six school years
The Heritage Series in Onyx Black ($1,000) is a kid-sized Randoseru built for all six school years: a cowhide Strong #00 body, an ergonomic backrest with premium cushioning, a gently curved shoulder belt, and A4 flat-file capacity in a 12 cm gusset that expands a further 3 cm. Reflective material keeps them visible on dark mornings. Outer 34 × 26.5 × 22 cm at about 1,520 g. Hand saddle-stitched in Nagoya, Japan by Murase Kabanko — a workshop crafting since 1957 — each bag passes through three master artisans and takes over 200 hours to build. Backed by a six-year repair warranty across your child's entire school career.
Experience the pinnacle of Japanese craftsmanship with the Murase Kabanko Heritage Series.
Handcrafted in Nagoya, Japan, these Randoseru backpacks represent more than just a school bag — they are a six-year commitment to quality, durability, and ergonomic design. Known for their "Art of the Stitch," Murase Kabanko artisans use time-honored techniques to ensure every bag can withstand the rigors of daily life while maintaining a sophisticated, minimalist silhouette.
Worn by adults, too. The Heritage Series is sized for a child's school years, but plenty of adults wear one. Smaller adults wear it as it comes; if the straps run short, a Randoseru strap extender — widely available on Amazon — attaches to the existing straps and lengthens the fit, so almost anyone can wear one comfortably.
The bag itself is the same heirloom-grade piece either way: full-grain leather, hand saddle-stitched in Nagoya, built to outlast six years of daily use.
Onyx Black: The essential. A deep, jet-black finish that ages with quiet distinction.
Material & Craftsmanship — Body in Cowhide Strong #00 leather, renowned for exceptional toughness and natural beauty; back and shoulder belt lined with high-grade soft cowhide for comfort and breathability. Meticulously hand-sewn by master craftsmen.
